I would just like to point out that what happened in Venezuela in april of 2002 was not a coup d'etat. The military chose to remove Chavez after he ordered them to shoot at peaceful demonstrators. After they refused to comply he used his Cuban trained paramilitary groups to carry out his orders. Among the dead were woman and man all normal citizens of all walks of life.

If it would have been a coup d'etat, well planned, Chavez would no longer be there.

Chavez controls all powers in Venezuela, including the assembly, the supreme court, the military, THE ELECTORAL COUNCIL etc.. etc..

There are political prisoners and torture

This is a dictatorship and he is being guided by fidel castro who has sent advisors and troops to venezuela. Chavez is also giving support to Colombian Guerilla and drug dealers.

Hugo Chavez has been democratically elected in Venezuela; the elections have been monitored by Jimmy Cartier.

The opposition know they have no chance in Venezuela; this is why they have pulled out of elections, and called Chavez undemocratic.

The pro-Chavez protesters were firing back on snipers as the documentary film 'the revelation will not be televised' showed. The private media in Venezuela is owned by the business meant who took control after the

The rich in Venezuela are pissed that they cannot continue to rape the poor, but Venezuela is at it's most democratic it's ever been.

If you don’t like Chavez fine, but if you want democracy then you will have to put up with people you don’t like. It is morally unjustifiable to make up propaganda against Chavez, if you want to depose him do it democratically.

The coup was a coup and was called undemocratic by many countries around the world including ones less friendly to Chavez including the UK.

I urge readers of these comments to research it yourself, watch the film 'the revolution will not be televised' to find out the truth of the coup attempt of 2002.

Pan Sepien, you'd better should go to Chavez' Treasury Dept to cash your check for writing on favor of this barbarian regime. Venezuelan Govmt can buy anyone with money from Oil Sales. 'Bribes are welcome'. Pan is just some of them as usual.
