Public prepare WTC will soon air

The public is getting fair warning – ‘World Trade Center’ is coming to the big screen – Oliver Stone’s moving 9/11 story of two Port Authority police officers who were trapped in the ruins of the World Trade Center and were ultimately rescued.
‘WTC’ stars Nicholas Cage and Michael Pena as the two police officers.
Trying to avoid the same controversy kicked up by Universal Pictures 9/11 pic ‘United 93’ which had trailers pulled from movie theaters prior to its opening, Paramount is covering all bases with its rollout of ‘WTC’ which doesn’t open until August 9th.
Paramount spent a week screening the ‘WTC’ trailer for exhibitors. In addition, theaters are posting warnings of when the trailer is running. Stone also flew to New York last Thursday to screen 26 minutes of the film for members of the Port Authority and select family members for some that perished.
The same footage was shown at Cannes Saturday eveing along with the ‘World Trade Center’ trailer alongside a screening of Stone's 1986 pic "Platoon."
