Hans ZimmeerFinale, a product of MakeMusic, Inc is music notation software, which along with SmartMusic(R), is a complete music practice system that features Intelligent Accompaniment(R) and the world's largest interactive accompaniment library. Composers, orchestrators and copyists who create music for film, use Finale – which was used on such blockbusters as ‘Million Dollar Baby,’ ‘The Aviator’ and the Star Wars epics. Finale was used to create the score and parts utilized in the recording of the soundtrack for Da Vinci Code and will also be used for the orchestration and copying of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,’ scored by Zimmer with a release date of July 7. "Recording music for motion pictures is a difficult and expensive task, often requiring musicians and technicians along with music notation experts to create both the score and parts with Finale," said MakeMusic President, John Paulson."Changes are frequently made to the music during the session which puts tremendous pressure on the Finale copyists to quickly and easily make these changes, and print and distribute them to the musicians for the next take.
