The romantic fantasy pic 'The Illusionist', helmed by Neil Burger ('Interview with the Assassin') will hit the big screens August 18th according to Bob Yari topper of the Yari Film Group.
Variety is reporting that Yari brought on David Dinerstein from Paramount Classics as a distribution consultant so they could "ramp up" their distribution initiatives.
Illusionist screened at the 2006 edition of Sundance and received some interest from studios ready to distribute - but Yari held back wishing to beef up his distribution slate.
The Group released Van Diesel's crime laugher 'Find Me Guilty' last month and director Adam Rapp's dramatic 'Winter Passing' in February.
'The Illusionist' is about a magician (Norton) in turn-of-the-20th-century Vienna who falls in love with a woman. The woman later becomes engaged to a prince and all heck breaks loose when the magician uses his powers to win her back.
