James McAvoy to atone

The filmmakers of “Pride & Prejudice” reunite for a new movie, based on the award-winning best-selling 2002 novel Atonement, which is a classic British romance that spans several decades. Ian McEwan’s novel ‘Atonement’ is about to come to the big screen.
Working Title Productions will produce, while up and coming Scottish star James McAvoy (‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’) and Keira Knightly (‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’).
Film which is set to begin production next month will be helmed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice).
Detailed story tells of Robbie Turner, a man accused of raping a young girl.
No release date has been set.

They have been filming Atonement near my house in Redcar - it looks totally fabulous - the set is amazing.
Locals have flocked to the area to see the set - McAvoy is a lovely down to earth guy who mingled lots with spectators.
