Ang returns to his roots

Best director Oscar(R) winner, Ang Lee recently told China's CCTV he was working on several projects, at least one of them to be produced in China. He will partner once again with 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon' team mates Wang Hui-Ling (screenwriter), Tim Yip (designer) and Peter Pau (cinematographer).Lee apparently has been in discussion with Focus Features ('Brokeback Mountain') who is interested in reuniting him with CTHD star Ziyi Zhang.Late last month, Lee confirmed development of a movie based on the Marvel Comics kung-fu hero Shang-Chi. Movie to be based on the Marvel Comics hero of the 1980's - 90's, a young Kung-Fu master (Shang-Chi) who learns his father is the world's worst criminal and he must face him in battle.Slated to direct that film is martial arts master choreographer and director Woo-ping Yuen (fight choreographer 'Kill Bill', 'The Matrix Reloaded' - director 'Drunken Master').
