Philip Seymour Hoffman is savage

Philip Seymour Hoffman, who Sunday walked away with the lead actor Oscar(R) for 'Capote' is going 'savage' for Fox Searchlight Pictures.
Hoffman with co-star Laura Linney will star and Tamara Jenkins will pen and helm "The Savages", a story about a brother and sister who are obliged to care for their estranged and aililng father who never took care of them as children. As they care for their father, they confront the legacy of their upbringing and the realities of responsiblity within families.
The project begins shooting in New York in April.
