Warner Bros. has announced a way for fans to have a little fun online while waiting to see the new Richard Donner film 16 Blocks. By using Google’s map engine, fans can build their own “16 Blocks” by creating locations for your favorite bar crawl, a day of shopping or even your favorite restaurants.
The 16 Blocks Hood is a way to have fun while promoting the upcoming movie that stars Bruce Willis, Mos Def, and David Morse. The film is described as a mismatched “buddy movie” that follows a troubled NYPD officer who's forced to take a happy, but down-on-his-luck witness 16 blocks from the police station to 100 Centre Street, although no one wants the duo to make it. The film contrasts the two characters; one a cop with a heart attack waiting to happen and the other the witness he escorting, who is a 14-time loser with a sunny outlook on life.
