Dustry Springfield - Collections Following up his award winning ‘Brokeback Mountain’ with a film based on the life of singer Dusty Springfield, the film will follow Dusty’s life from her birth in Hampstead, north London to her death from breast cancer in 1999.In the mid-1960s, Springfield recorded "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" and became known for her glitzy gowns, peroxide-blond beehive hairdo and dark, smudgy eye makeup, an effect achieved by leaving on the same caked-on mascara for three weeks at a time.Reportedly signed to play Springfield is Charlize Theron (‘North Country’, ‘Monster’) with Kate Moss set to play a socialite who became one of Springfield’s early lovers.Reports are quoting a source who has said, “There will probably be sexual scenes but as Ang is behind the camera, they will be very tastefully done. Kate's character breaks Dusty's heart and sparks off the chain of tumultuous relationships that dogged her throughout her life."No production information is presently available.
