Prince Caspian gets some help

Los Angeles - The cast, director and screenwriters of 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' have all signed up for a sequel and shooting is expected to start later this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

The movie was one of the top earners of 2005 with 638 million dollars worldwide. The film's backers, Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media, are aiming at a Christmas 2007 release for the sequel to be called 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.' The movie will be based on 'Caspian', the second instalment in C.S. Lewis' seven-book Narnia series, and will revolve once again around the four Pevensie siblings. In 'Caspian', the children return to the land of Narnia, where 1,000 years has passed since their last visit, and are called on to aid Narnia's inhabitants by deposing of the evil King Miraz and his Queen Prunaprisma, who have taken control of the kingdom from the throne's rightful heir, Prince Caspian. © 2006 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur
