Val Kilmer’s going to have a busy 2006. He’s signed up to star in back to back films. Variety says that first he’ll hop on set with Tony Scott for filming on his time travel flick ‘Deja Vu’. ‘Deja Vu’ stars as an FBI agent sent back in time to save a woman’s life from a terrorist act. Val will re-team with his former ‘Top Gun’ director to play one of Denzel’s fellow FBI agents stepping back in time to stop a terrorist attack on a ferry. After that, Kilmer joins the cast of ‘Dark Matter’, a Meryl Streep vehicle based on the true story of a Chinese university student who responds violently when his chance at winning a Nobel Prize is destroyed. No word on what role Kilmer will play in the film for director Chen Shi-Zheng. Add those two roles to Kilmer’s already existing slate of ten other upcoming movies he’ll be appearing it. On The Saint’s horizon are movies like a new version of ‘The Ten Commandments’, the horror movie ‘Moscow Love’, and the adventure movie ‘Coin Locker Babies’ with uber-elf Liv Tyler. Look for Val Kilmer in theaters a lot. His last project was the unfairly unseen, yet critically praised Shane Black movie ‘Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang’.
