President Robin Williams

What’s the most sought after part in Hollywood? No, it’s not a role in the next Scorsese movie, everyone wants a part in the next Ben Stiller movie. Earlier this week we heard that Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney were coming out of retirement to work with Ben in ‘Night at the Museum’. Now there’s another big name jumping on board.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Robin Williams has joined the film’s cast to play deceased, rough riding US President Theodore Roosevelt. He joins a cast already consisting of Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke, and Bill Cobbs.
‘Night at the Museum’ is a comedy about a bumbling museum security guard played by Stiller, who is on duty when a magic curse starts bringing the museum’s exhibits to life. Rooney and Van Dyke play fellow security guards trying to use the curse to make themselves young, and presumably Robin Williams’ Teddy Roosevelt is one of the exhibits brought to life.
Look for ‘Night at the Museum’ in theaters during the 2006 holiday season.
