Joan of Arcadia bears a Grudge

If ‘Saw’ can turn into a viable movie franchise, just imagine what’s going to happen with a much more popular horror movie like ‘The Grudge’. ‘The Grudge 2’ is underway, and so is casting on the coming soon horror sequel.

‘Grudge’ star Sarah Michelle Gellar is already signed for ‘Grudge 2’, but there’s more cast to be added. Columbia Pictures announced today that former “Joan of Arcadia” star and Golden Globe nominee Amber Tamblyn will join the sequel as the little sister of Sarah Michelle’s character.

Though you probably know her face primarily from television, Amber’s done plenty in feature films. She’s had great roles in movies like ‘The Ring’ and most recently ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’. Her future already holds plenty more work. She’s already been added to the casts of ‘Spiral’ and the Mandy Moore driven drama ‘Safety Glass’.

Also signed up for ‘The Grudge 2’ is “Gilmore Girls’” Arielle Kebbel and newcomer Teresa Palmer.

‘The Grudge 2’ explores the secrets behind much of the first film, while introducing new characters who find themselves all connected by the same terrifying curse.
