‘Brokeback Mountain’ continued its by now almost inevitable march to winning this year’s Best Picture Oscar on Sunday, by winning another award from another Oscar predictor. The Producers Guild of America handed out their awards Sunday night, and Ang Lee’s ‘Brokeback’ came away as best film, beating out challengers like ‘Crash’, ‘Capote’, ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, and ‘Walk the Line’. Though the PGA’s are usually considered a strong Oscar indicator, last year they chose ‘The Aviator’ as best film, while the Academy went on to choose ‘Million Dollar Baby’. But with so many others almost resoundingly choosing ‘Brokeback’, odds seem strong that Oscar and the PGA may line up. Other PGA winners included ‘Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbitt’, beating out computer animated movies like ‘Madagascar’ and Disney’s first CGI movie ‘Chicken Little’ for the Guild’s Animated Motion Picture prize. Here’s the PGA’s full list of winners in the areas of both television and film: Theatrical Motion Picture: ‘Brokeback Mountain’Animated Motion Picture: ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’Television: Long Form: ”The Life and Death of Peter Sellers” Television Series: Comedy: “Entourage” Television Series: Drama: “LOST” Television Series or Special: Non-Fiction: “60 Minutes” Television Series or Special: Variety: “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”
