Lucas updates on Indy 4
By Joshua Tyler Jan 19, 2006, 21:20 GMT
George Lucas may be done with Star Wars, but he’s still a pretty happening dude. Always down with the kiddies, writer-producer George had a word with MTV about where things are on the fourth Indiana Jones movie we’ve been hearing about for so long.
Lucas says, “We just keep working on it. You know, we just write and write and write and write and write.” How many scripts are they writing? Are they at least close? “..we are getting closer,” he assures, “and hopefully this year we will have a start date and we will have a script that we all love and hopefully it will come out next year.”
Of course we’ve heard this before. ‘Indiana Jones 4’ scripts have been approved and rejected more than once since the project first started being talked about. Jeff Nathanson is the man working on the latest version, under heavy supervision from George Lucas. His script must be approved by George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford before they can even begin considering putting it into production. ‘Indy 4’ is still a long way off.
