Chloe Sevigny becomes a Russian whore

Chloe Sevigny is about to become royalty, by playing a Russian whore. The former fellatio star of Vincent Gallo’s controversial film ‘The Brown Bunny’ will play Catherine I, wife of Russian Tsar Peter the Great according to Production Weekly.

The film is called ‘Catherine and Peter’, and it's being directed by Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland from a script by Iraklie Kvirikadze. The script tells their well known love story, that of an orphan and battlefield whore who falls in love with the Russian Tsar. He returns her love, and even marries her, despite being a wench, against all odds. Not only does she become his wife, but his partner as well. As Catherine I she rules the largest Empire in the world.

The movie will shoot on location in Russia, Poland, and German, which is better than the usual Hollywood substitute. I think we’ve all had our fill of substitute California scenery by now.

Sevigny is currently filming on the David Fincher crime thriller ‘Zodiac’. In addition she’s got the drama ‘Lying’ due out in 2006. More recently you might have seen her in a brief role opposite Bill Murray in the critically acclaimed movie ‘Broken Flowers’ or in the Woody Allen movie ‘Melinda and Melinda’. No, she wasn’t Melinda.
