No Uwe Boll movie has ever turned a profit. That doesn't seem to stop anyone from throwing new projects at him. His latest, 'BloodRayne' didn't even register in the box office this weekend, but he's already lining up investors for more work. Horror site Bloody-Disgusting reports that Boll claims he has been approached to direct a film version of the popular videogame "Metal Gear Solid". Of course, just because Uwe says it doesn't make it true. At one point he also claimed he'd be involved in making 'Halo' into a feature film, a rumor which was absolutely untrue. The self-promoting director is quick to attach himself to high profile projects, though he rarely gets them. Still, Boll says he's been asked to do it: "Now people are coming to me with metal gear solid. They wrote a script, and Konami basically paid these people to write it. And I hope that Metal Gear Solid will be working." His grammar, is as ever, impeccable. Doctor Boll's next movie, 'In The Name of the King' is scheduled for release later in 2006. His casts keep getting bigger. 'In the Name of the King' stars 'The Transporter's' Jason Statham, 'Lord of the Rings' John Rhys-Davies, Ray Liotta, Matthew Lillard, Leelee Sobieski, Burt Reynolds, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, and Boll's muse of the moment Kristanna Loken.
