Travolta and Allen go whole Hog

John Travolta and Tim Allen will face their mid-life crises together. To deal with old-age, they’re forming their own motorcycle gang.

The Hollywood Reporter says the two stars are in negotiations to topline the comedy ‘Wild Hogs’ for Touchstone Pictures. The Brad Copeland written script is the story of four frustrated, aging, suburbanite biker-wannabes who hit the open road together looking for adventure or whatever comes their way. What comes their way is a group of real Hell’s Angels, and they aren’t exactly keen on posers.

Travolta and Allen would play two of the four middle-aged bikers with the other two parts still to be cast. It’s an unusual star pairing, Travolta is primarily known for his work in drama (his comedies are shockingly bad) while Tim Allen is known mainly for light, family-oriented comedy.

Allen is currently filming ‘The Santa Clause 3’ and can be seen later this year in two other family flicks, a remake of ‘The Shaggy Dog’ and the kids superhero academy flick ‘The Return of Zoom’. John Travolta was last seen in the pseudo-comedy ‘Be Cool’ and can now be found flying somewhere overhead in his oversized jumbo-jet.
