Kate Beckinsale frolicks in the Snow

Kate Beckinsale appears next month in a second ‘Underworld’ movie titled ‘Underworld: Evolution’. But her career is more than just vampires and smurfs. She’s signed up for something a little more low-key.
Variety says Kate has agreed to join the cast of ‘Snow Angels’, a drama that interweaves the life of a teenager with his older baby sitter, her husband, and their daughter. Beckinsale plays the baby sitter, a small-town waitress dealing with a difficult relationship between her and her estranged husband, played by Sam Rockwell. The screenplay was written by David Gordon Green based on a novel by Stewart O’nan and it’s directed by Jesse Peretz, who’s also helming the Zach Braff comedy ‘Fast Track’.
Kate Beckinsale replaces Emily Mortimer, who had originally been cast in the part. Kate’s finished filming ‘Underworld’ and she’s currently shooting an Adam Sandler comedy called ‘Click’.
