Jude Law goes on Holiday

One of our finest actors working in Hollywood according to Sean Penn is Jude Law. Apparently Nancy Meyers agrees, since she’s cast him in her upcoming romantic comedy ‘Holiday’.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Law will round out a four pronged cast of Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black in the film. ‘Holiday’ is the story of an American woman (Diaz) with man problems who befriends a British local (Winslet) with the same issues. Jack Black will play one of Winslet’s suitors and Jude Law steps in to play romantic lead opposite the increasingly spazzy Cameron Diaz.

Directed and written by Meyers, ‘Holiday’ will start shooting sometime early next year.

After appearing in nearly every film released in 2004, Jude Law has been taking it easy lately. He hasn’t been seen in theaters since his brief cameo in Scorsese’s The Aviator. He’s just finished filming the movies ‘All the Kings Men’ and ‘Breaking and Entering’. That leaves his schedule free to jump right in to ‘Holiday’ any time.
