The sequel to the $100 million worldwide hit, "Underworld: Evolution" continues the saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). The second movie isn't even done yet, but writer/director Len Wiseman is already talking about a third installment of his Vampire versus Werewolf franchise 'Underworld'.

In an interview with Sci Fi Wire, Wiseman says he's full of ideas for the future adventures of Selene and her smurfy companion. He and his writing partners have already mapped out an entire history and story that they want to use in the next film.

Of course there isn't actually a script yet, just a big collection of ideas. Whether or not he writes a script will depend in part on how audiences react to the second movie 'Underworld Evolution' once it's released this coming January. It'll also no doubt depend on whether anyone is interested in financing it.

The first 'Underworld' was a modest box office hit, but made a tidy profit since it was independently produced on a relatively small budget, particularly for the sort of heavily effects driven film it is. 'Underworld 2' is a little more expensive, but Wiseman and his team are probably hoping for more of the same sort of modest, yet profitable success.
