Los Angeles - Celebrated director Steven Spielberg has called his upcoming film 'Munich' a 'prayer for peace' in the Middle East.
The movie follows the Israeli manhunt for the perpetrators of the terror attack in the 1972 Munich Olympics, and the misgivings of the Mossad agents charged with executing those responsible.
'I don't think any movie or any book or any work of art can solve the stalemate in the Middle East today. But it's worth a try,' Spielberg told Time magazine in his only interview ahead of the film's release this month. 'Somewhere inside all this intransigence there has to be a prayer for peace. The biggest enemy is not the Palestinians or the Israelis. The biggest enemy in the region is intransigence.'
