Dwayne still hasn't given up his "The Rock" moniker, even though these days he's a lot busier making movies than he is wrestling. He's got dozens of upcoming projects in the works, including a videogame adaptation of 'Spy-Hunter' and a part trippy cult director Richard Kelly's hotly anticipated 'Donnie Darko' followup 'Southland Tales'. The Rock is busy, but he's willing to get busier.
According to UK based publication (where they aren't on Thanksgiving vacation) Empire Online, Dwayne will at some point star in a Disney movie called 'Daddy's Girl'. In the film, Rock plays an NFL quarterback with an attitude problem. He's brash, he's cocky, and his life gets turned upside down when he finds out he has a six-year-old daughter.
'Daddy's Girl' is a family comedy, so don't expect to see The Rock laying the smack down on small children. It's all about the sappy pulling of heartstrings according to him. "It’s with the producers of The Miracle as well as The Rookie [Gordon Gray and Mark Giardi] so they understand the sensibilities of pulling at the heart.," he says. It looks like Dwayne is taking a cue from Vin Diesel and using his muscles to get aw shucks. Let's hope he doesn't find himself being upstaged by a duck.
