Gina Torres witnesses death

The failure of 'Serenity' it seems didn't spell death for everyone involved. Joss Whedon is making 'Wonder Woman', lead actor Nathan Fillian will star in the upcoming horror-comedy 'Slither', and now Gina Torres has landed another role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Torres has signed up to star opposite Kip Pardue in the movie 'South of Pico' for director Ernst Gossner. Gossner also wrote the film with Richard Marcus, which is described as the tale of four ordinary people witnessing an accidental death. How you get a movie out of that is anyone's guess. Maybe they're going for a 'Final Destination' take on it.
