Wolverine versus Batman versus... David Bowie? According to The Hollywood Reporter musical madman and friend of Muppets Bowie is in negotiations to join 'Batman Begins' director Christopher Nolan's next film 'The Prestige'.

The film pits Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman in an all out magician battle in earlty 20th century London. If Bowie joins the cast, he'll be playing a character based on a real-life Serbian-American inventor credited with discovering rotating magnetic-field. That could mean he'll be playing "Q" to Jackman or Bale's magician character.

David Bowie's been busy working as a film composer on movies like 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou', but his last acting role was in the obscure 2000 movie 'Mr. Rice's Secret'. As an actor, he's probably best known for his role in 'Labyrinth' opposite some Muppets and a very young Jennifer Connelly.
