Jessica Simpson keeps trying acting

After her taste smashing performance in 'The Dukes of Hazzard', Jessica Simpson's movie career is inexplicably taking off. That's great news for the next movie website lucky enough to post bikini pictures of her, but not exactly good news for moviegoers... female ones anyway.

Variety says Simpson is in talks to star with comedian Dane Cook in the movie 'Employee of the Month'. Jessica would star as a new discount superstore cashier romantically pursued by two dorky store clerks. To get her attention, the clerks get wrapped up in a vicious employee of the month competition.

The Lions Gate film is being directed by Gregory Coolidge, and being produced by (among others) Jessica Simpson's father Joe, who once lauded the virtues of his daughter's hooters. As a former preacher, he knows a lot about the film business.

Coolidge's last (and first) film, 'Queen for a Day' came and went from theaters back in 2000 completely unnoticed. Jessica Simpson acting as Daisy Duke

Joshua: 'Queen For A Day' was a short film (check Atom Films and IMDB). It was never in theatres.
