Angelina Jolie wants Bond

With Daniel Craig cast as Bond, it's time for Bond girl casting rumors. We've already heard people like Jessica Alba rumored to be in the running for 007's sexpot babe of the moment, and now the latest has Angelina Jolie interested in the role... but only under certain conditions.
British tabloid "The Sun" is reporting that Angelina has read Paul Haggis' script and wants the character "toughed up" before she'll take the part. Perhaps she's looking for something along the lines of Famke Janssen's role as a sexy villain in 'Die Another Day' rather than a throwaway, eye-candy part like that given to Denise Richards in 'The World is Not Enough'.
Indeed, the tabloid says that according to one of their sources, "Angelina would rather play a baddie than eye candy." Screenwriter Paul Haggis says he's still working on the script, so it's probably not outside the realm of possibility that they'd write a female villain in for her, but the James Bond franchise is big enough that there's no real need for them to bow to big star demands. They don't need her name to make the movie a success, what they need, after a string of James Bond stinkers, is a good script.
