Two-faced casting rumors

By Joshua Tyler Nov 10, 2005, 5:04 GMT

Technically, a 'Batman Begins' sequel hasn't really even been confirmed by Christopher Nolan. He says he wants to do it, but that doesn't mean he will. Regardless, rumors about who will be in it continue swirling. The latest concerns casting on the character of Two Face, whom many think will be in the as-of-yet nonexistent sequel.

Batman-on-Film says there are two people in contention for the split personality character. First on the list is Liev Schreiber, whom we've been hearing a lot about in connection with the Bat recently. You might remember him from recent movies like 'The Manchurian Candidate' and 'The Sum of All Fears'. Coincidentally, he also appeared in 'Kate & Leopold' after the other guy people are speculating might be up for the role, Hugh Jackman.

Jackman seems to be in rumor only because he's starring opposite Christian Bale in 'The Prestige'. Batman fans have been intently pushing the idea... but really... let's just take it off the table right now. Might as well start talking about Guy Pearce in the role. Oh yeah, the rumor's going around too.

Schreiber at least says he's interested in the role, but in several interviews he's confirmed that he has not yet been approached about it.

When it comes right down to it, it's all rampant rumors, most of them, like the Jackman one mentioned above are based on absolutely nothing. The movie has no script, the movie doesn't even exist right now so take any 'Begins' sequel casting rumor you come across and shove it in the shredder. We'll do our part to help you wade your way through the trash.
