Ryan Reynolds molds young minds

Ryan Reynolds is returning to the thing that launched his film career: school. He’s re-teaming with his ‘Van Wilder’ director Walt Becker for the movie ‘Schooled’, a comedy set in a high school, but told from the viewpoint of the teachers. I guess it’s kind of like John Lovitz’s ‘High School High’, only funny.
Variety says the movie, which Becker also co-wrote with David Gallagher is being financed by Disney subsidiary Touchstone Pictures and produced by Tapestry Pictures. Tapestry also produced ‘Van Wilder’ and is currently working on a Reynolds-less ‘Van Wilder 2’.
Reynolds is in the middle of a roundtable of movies about low paying jobs. Right now he’s in theaters starring in the movie ‘Waiting…’, a comedy about crass restaurant workers. Like ‘Waiting…’, ‘Schooled’ is another idea that Reynolds had a hand in coming up with.
