He's done with playing Bond, and so Pierce Brosnan is getting gritty. This fall he'll star in the down and dirty hitman movie 'The Matador' and now he's been pegged to play a hard-edged kidnapper in the thriller 'Butterfly on a Wheel' according to Variety.
The indie movie has been snatched up by Icon Entertainment, who will handle the movie's worldwide distribution. Directed by Mike Barker and written by William Morrissey, it's the story of a seemingly perfect, happy couple whose daughter is abducted. Over the course of a day, the kidnapper tears apart the family's life with vicious efficiency.
The movie starts shooting this February in Canada and Chicago.
Brosnan's post-Bond dance card is already pretty busy. In addition to 'Butterfly on a Wheel' he's slated to star in four other upcoming films.
