Marvel's Fury focuses on Smith

Nick Fury
Marvel Studios is moving towards production on their upcoming feature film version of 'Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D.', and they may already be on their way to casting the movie's lead. Their choice is unconventional, to say the least.
IGN FilmForce says that they're looking for a major, A-list star to play the role. As a model, they're using a version of the comic character used in the book's Ultimates version, a character drawn to look almost eerily like Samuel L. Jackson. No, they aren't getting him.
Instead, Film Force thinks Marvel is trying to get Will Smith. This wouldn't be Will's first time in the movie version of a comic franchise, after all 'Men in Black' was originally a comic book. But Will bears absolutely no resemblance to the character of Nick Fury, a one-eyed, mature, hardened super-spy. He's not the kind of guy who might at any moment break into the Electric Slide.
Marvel Studio's 'Nick Fury' project is just getting going. They don't have a screenwriter or a director and they've yet to confirm this information to IGN or anyone else, so don't consider this rumor anything but a remote possibility until they do.
This isn't the first time Marvel's Nick Fury character has been made into a movie. In 1998 Nick had the misfortune to be made into a TV special starring David Hasselhoff in the Fury role.
