Baldwin goes hunting with Buffy

Alec Baldwin’s late-career movie roles have been nothing short of spectacular. He’s leapfrogged between all sorts of interesting projects, ranging from Scorsese to Cameron Crowe. His next movie however, won’t be quite of the same caliber. No, he’s not doing a feature version of ‘Canteen Boy’, Alec’s doing a romantic comedy.

The late-middle-aged actor has joined the cast of Sara Michelle Gellar’s rom-com ‘The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing’, says The Hollywood Reporter. The Marc Klein (‘Serendipity’) scripted movie casts Alec Baldwin as an aged Don Juan in the publishing business. Gellar is an overly ambitious book editor, whom he meets and subsequently charms.

Baldwin’s rapidly approaching 50, but his career shows no sign of slowing. He’s already set to appear in no fewer than ten upcoming movies, not counting this one. With production on ‘The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing’ scheduled for May, that should leave him time to clear out his schedule enough to make room for wooing Buffy.
