Jack Black battles a giant blonde woman

Once he’s finished fighting giant CGI monkeys, Jack Black will take on an even bigger threat: Cameron Diaz.

Black, who co-stars in Peter Jackson’s upcoming remake of ‘King Kong”, is set to join the cast of a new romantic comedy from ‘What Women Want’ director Nancy Meyers. Variety says the pic is called ‘Holiday’ and in addition to Black and Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslett is on board.

The film tells the story of a friendship between an American Woman (Diaz we presume) and a British woman (Winslett unless Jack has improved his faux Brit) after they’ve both been recently dumped. Though the closest he’s come to romance in his career is ‘Shallow Hal’, it looks like Jack will be playing Kate’s love interest, a film composer who befriends her in LA.

Meyers is still looking for a man to play Cameron’s boy-toy, but to keep things kooky she’s looking for a Brit.
