Tony Scott has Deja Vu
By Joshua Tyler Oct 20, 2005, 18:00 GMT
A few weeks ago M&C reported that director Tony Scott had left the film ‘Deja Vu’ over location concerns. But now, with the flop and critical lambasting of ‘Domino’ he’s done an about face and is returning to direct the project.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the movie will now be able to shoot in New Orleans as planned, easing Scott’s fears. Tony had been adamant about wanting to shoot in New Orleans, but when that didn’t seem possible in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina he lost interest. But the dock he wanted to use is being repaired, along with other parts of the city and now he’s eager to start again.
‘Deja Vu’ is an action-thriller being produced by movie maven Jerry Bruckheimer for Walt Disney Pictures. Denzel Washington is currently locked to star in the movie as a time traveling FBI agent.
