Custer gets Stoned

Stone directs Angelina Jolie in \'Alexander\'
Always ready to take on controversy, Oliver Stone's next film will tackle on a little less recent dispute.
IGN reports that Stone has been attached to direct and executive produce 'Son of the Morning Star'. The film follows General Custer, the egotistical, legendary US Cavalry officer who led his men into a fatal, foolhardy last stand against an alliance of Plains Indians at Little Bighorn in the year 1876.
The film's script, written by Mark Wheaton, is based on a book by Evan Connell.
Stone is currently working on a film based on 9/11 and the rescue of two Port Authority officers from the rubble of the World Trade Center towers.
