Pegg joins third Mission: Impossible

Secret Agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) comes face to to face with a dangerous and sadistic arms dealer while trying to keep his identity secret in order to protect his girlfriend. 'Shaun of the Dead's' Simon Pegg is pretty busy these days. He's just signed up to do some work for Gwyneth Paltrow's brother in 'The Good Night' and now he's hopped on board the third installment of 'Mission: Impossible'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, British actor Pegg has agreed to play an ally of Cruise's Agent Ethan Hunt in the gadget-spy thriller. He joins an all-star ensemble cast already consisting of Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Keri Russell.
After a lot of stops and starts along the way, 'Mission: Impossible 3' is currently in production under the direction of "Lost's" J.J. Abrams. It's slated for a May 5, 2006 release.
