Paltrows team up for a Good Night

'Proof' star Gwyneth Paltrow is keeping it in the family by acting in a movie for her brother Jake. Variety says that Gwyneth along with Brits Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg will star in the film ‘The Good Night’, written and directed by Jake Paltrow.

In the film, Freeman plays a character that sounds a little like something from a Hugh Grant movie. He’s an ex-pop star facing a mid-life crisis while making his living writing catchy ad jingles. He fantasizes about finding the right woman, but can’t find his vision of idealized perfection in the real world. Gwyneth Paltrow and Simon Pegg’s roles are unspecified, but Variety notes that they’ve yet to cast their female lead, so it stands to reason that Paltrow will not play Freeman’s obligatory love interest.

‘The Good Night’ is shooting off a healthy $15 million dollar budget, and is Jake Paltrow’s first produced screenplay, as well as his directorial debut.
