Hugh Jackman's gotta dance, and he'll do it in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures musical 'If You Could See Me Now'.
Variety reports that the house of mouse has picked up the rights to the Cecelia Ahern novel of the same name, with the intent of turning it into a toe-tapping star vehicle for the dancing x-man. Hugh will play the imaginary friend of a woman's 6-year old nephew. Things get weird when the boy's Aunt can suddenly see his make-believe friend, and starts to fall in love with him.
Hugh Jackman has been a major figure in the world of musicals after starring on Broadway in the play The Boy From Oz. He's since hosted the Tony awards, and is executive producing 'If You Could See Me Now' along with his partner John Palermo.
At the same time, Jackman and Palermo are also in the middle of producing an X-Men spinoff that will focus entirely on his mutant character Wolverine. Hugh is currently busy flashing his claws as the super-healer in Canada filming the third 'X-Men' movie.
