Shepard and Arnett Get Em Wet

“Arrested Development” may continue its slow cool in the ratings, but “AD” star Will Arnett’s career is heating up. Variety reports that he’ll be starring in the movie ‘Get Em Wet’ with former Ashton Kutcher sidekick Dax Shepard.

Described as a fish-out-of-water story, the film will be about a pair of American salesmen who travel to Japan to jumpstart the hot tub market. After repeatedly embarrassing themselves, they eventually decide they must immerse themselves in Japanese culture and business practices if they want to be a success.

After a bidding war with Warner Bros. and Universal, Paramount has picked up the ‘pitch from Arnett and Shepard, and plans to have them both star in the film. Dax will pen the script.

In addition to starring in “Arrested Development”, Will Arnett is slated to star opposite Robin Williams in the upcoming movie ‘RV’, and both he and Dax Shepard have just finished working on the Bob Odenkirk flick ‘You Are Going to Prison’. Shepard can be seen later this fall in the Jon Favreau flying house fantasy, ‘Zathura’ and in Fox’s still untitled Mike Judge project. He previously starred in the comedy ‘Without a Paddle’ alongside Seth Green and Matthew Lillard.
