Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, and Noah Emmerich are negotiating with New Line to star in the Gavin O’Connor movie ‘Pride and Glory’. Variety reports that the New Line Cinema film, directed by O’Connor and written by him in conjunction with Joe Carnahan, could start shooting as early as January in New York. ‘Pride and Glory’ is described as a “generational drama”, one that tells the story of a family of police officers in New York caught in the midst of scandal and corruption. If they sign, Norton will play a homicide detective investigating a police precinct run by his older brother, played by Noah Emmerich. Colin Farrell would take on the role of Norton’s best friend, who is also suspected of corruption. Both Norton and Farrell already have a pretty heavy production load lined up. Ed Norton is currently slated to take on parts in three upcoming films: ‘Motherless Brooklyn’, ‘The Painted Veil’, and ‘The Illusionist’. Farrell can next be seen this fall in Terrence Malick’s ‘The New World’, and he’ll also soon be taking on the role formerly made famous by Don Johnson in the movie version of ‘Miami Vice’.
