Fox 2000 is partnering up with New Regency to produce a movie adaptation of a comic book called 'Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things' according to Variety. Ted Naifeh's original comic is the story of a young girl moving into her wacky uncle's house, only to find herself in a magical world of warlocks, witchcraft, and goblins. It's right about then that her classmates start vanishing, and it's up to her to solve the mystery of their disappearance. The film adaptation will be written by Graham Tallman, who's spent much of his career as a second unit director on films like 'Bulletproof Monk' and 'Dracula 2000'. He's written two other scripts for generally unknown films, this will be Tallman's first really noteworthy screenwriting project. Effects genius Stan Winston will take on producing duties for 'Courtney Crumrin' along with Brian J. Gilbert. Karen Davis fills associate producer duties.
