Gretzky films the King of Swing

Hockey icon 'Wayne Gretzky' is getting into the movie business, that's the latest word from Production Weekly. Don't worry, he won't be acting.

Instead, The Great One is co-producing the golfing film 'Dance the Green', the story of Canadian golf legend Moe Norman. The screenplay was written by Barry Morrow, who wrote the acclaimed film 'Rain Man' and then went on to do absolutely nothing good. I guess lightning doesn't strike twice. Hopefully, he'll find another hit in 'Dance the Green', Gretzky's backing should at least guarantee the film a little publicity.

Hugh Wilson is set to direct the film, which will reportedly focus on Norman's reputation as an outsider. Though often referred to as the "Clown Prince of Golf", the famed golfer holds still unbeaten records.

Production on the film is set to start this coming spring, with location shoots in both Canada and the United States.
