Berg writes Losers

'Friday Night Lights' writer/director Peter Berg has signed up to pen the film 'The Losers" for Warner Bros. Pictures according to Variety. He'll also be producing the movie along with noted screenwriter Akiva Goldsmith and may end up directing it as well.

'The Losers' is yet another DC Comics property to be picked up for movie treatment by the WB. The movie will follow the exploits of elite CIA members attacked and left for dead by their own agency. When they survive, they set out to learn who orchestrated their betrayal and get revenge.

Peter Berg 's dance card has been full since the success of 'Friday Night Lights'. In addition to 'The Losers', he'll be directing 'The Kingdom' for release in 2006 and 'Bran Mak Morn' for a 2007 debut.
