Mr. Fantastic doesn't like slavery

Ioan Gruffudd will stretch his legs a bit and get away from the 'Fantastic Four' to play anti-slavery activist William Wilberforce in 'Amazing Grace'.

Wilberforce was an 18th century British politician who fought to ban the slave trade in the British Empire. In the process, he butted heads with the famous and powerful names of his time, including England's king.

Reuters reports that also joining the Michael Apted ('Enigma') directed cast is venerable, 5-time Academy Award nominated actor Albert Finney as John Newton, a Wilberforce confidant. Look for the Walden Media produced film in theaters sometime late in 2006
