Geoffrey Rush and Clive Owen join Blanchett's Golden Age

Geoffrey Rush and Clive Owen have been cast opposite Cate Blanchett in The Golden Age, a sequel to the 1990's movie Elizabeth.
Variety reports that Working Title and Universal Pictures have hired Shekhar Kapur to direct once again.
This follow-up will focus more on Elizabeth I's (Blanchett) relationship with Sir Walter Raleigh (Owen).
The script is by William Nicholson and Michael Hirst, who also wrote Elizabeth. Filming is expected to begin next spring.
