Billy Bob Thornton cast in The Astronaut Farmer

Billy Bob Thornton has been cast in Warner Independent Pictures' drama The Astronaut Farmer.
The Hollywood Reporter says Michael Polish is directing from a script he wrote with his borther Mark.
The Astronaut Farmer tells the tale of an eccentric farmer who dreams of going to space and sets out to build his own rocket. His neighbors think he is odd, the governent think he is a danger and the media see a great story.
Filming is due to begin next month in New Mexico.
