By James Wray Aug 12, 2005, 13:17 GMT
DreamWorks is reported to be close to picking up film rights to Tom Clancy's videogame Splinter Cell, with Daniel Pyne (The Manchurian Candidate) attached to script.
Variety says the studio would take over from Paramount, who picked it up last year.
The game follows government spy Sam Fisher as he battles international terrorists.
