In Photos: Flags of Our Fathers filming in Washington

Clint Eastwood and the cast of Flags of Our Fathers were in Washington on Monday to film shots from the upcoming WWII drama.
Filming took place around the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington, on Aug. 8 2005.
Based on the novel of the same name, the movie will chronicle perhaps the most famous moment in American military history. When six men raised the flag at Iwo Jima. Here is the true story behind the immortal photograph that has come to symbolize the courage and indomitable will of America.
