Paramount to make movie based on A.J. Jacobs' forthcoming novel

Paramount has picked up movie rights to A.J. Jacobs' forthcoming novel The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Obey the Bible As Literally As Possible.Variety reports the studio has set Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment to produce the movie.The book, a sort of sequel from his The Know-it-all: One Man's Humble Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World, will follow Esquire magazine editor Jacobs as he examines the rules of the Old and New Testament.The book will be released some time in 2006.The first book is also being made into a film, details on this page.
