Armstrong backs Damon for biopic

Los Angeles - Record-breaking cyclist Lance Armstrong is backing actor Matt Damon to play him in a biopic for U.S. television, according to the magazine Men's Journal.
Cancer survivor Armstrong, who is in line for a record-breaking seventh straight Tour de France victory on Sunday, said Damon would be ideal for the role.
"I've had the chance to get to know Matt Damon. He is a fan of cycling and has a connection to cancer. He has even expressed an interest in the role," Armstrong said in the magazine.
